Pay Scale: Rs. 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500800/1-19300

Emoluments Offered: 

The candidates selected in the clerical posts are paid emoluments as per the Award Staff in the employer bank; the starting pay will be around Rs. 14,200 p.m. + D.A. + Other Allowances as applicable.

About SBI Clerical Exam:

The recruitment for the State Bank of India Clerical posts is done through a written exam and interview conducted solely for this purpose. The exam is usually organized by the SBI in the month of September/ October at the SBI prescribed centres. The candidates will be informed about the examination and application details one to two months prior to the date of conduct of test. 

Scheme of Examination:

The examination consists of objective type questions in the following main sections:

I. General Awareness

II.General English

III.Quantitative Aptitude

IV.Reasoning Ability

V.Marketing Aptitude/ Computer Knowledge

The candidates will have to pass in each section as decided by the Bank on the basis of the candidate performance in the test. The candidates are also required to obtain the min. number of marks in the Interview for finally selected to the post concerned.

There is no negative marking in the written test; however, there will be a loss of one-fourth marks for each wrong answer of the candidate. 

Eligibility for the Exam:

The candidates in order to be eligible for the SBI Clerk exam should be Intermediate /Class 12^th passed with a minimum of 60% (55% for SC/ ST/ PWD/ XS) marks as the minimum qualification for this post. The candidates can be either a Diploma course passed of minimum two years duration after High School from any State Board of Technical Education or any recognized institution for this purpose.

Age Eligibility:

The candidates minimum age should be 18 years and maximum age should be 28 years w.e.f. the date of conduct of exam. The age relaxation to the backward class candidates is given as follows:

SC/ ST: 5 Years

Other Backward Classes: 3 Years

PWD (Gen): 10 Years

PWD (SC/ ST): 15 Years

PWD (OBC): 13 Years
